What’s new in the updated curriculum
The refreshed curriculum introduces several enhancements that help students get even more value from their mentorship experience:
- A streamlined program structure — The number of sessions has been reduced from 12 to 10, making the mentorship easier to complete while maintaining the same level of impact, connection, and career‑ready skill development.
- Guidance on using AI in career development — New content helps students understand how to leverage AI tools throughout their mentorship and future careers.
- Improved session prompts — Each session now includes clearer, more intentional prompts to help students reflect, prepare, and get more out of their time with their mentor.
These updates ensure that students continue to receive high‑quality, high‑impact support while keeping pace with the skills and mindsets employers value most.
Introducing GMI’s new Online Mentorship Portal
Alongside the curriculum update, GMI will also launch a new online portal designed to make the mentorship experience even more seamless. The portal will centralize essential resources and introduce new features that help mentors and students stay connected and on track.
The new portal will include:
- A single hub for session guides, templates, and mentorship resources
- Tools to track progress throughout the mentorship
- Built‑in options to communicate and share documents
- Easy session scheduling
- Direct access to GMI support
