Global Mentorship Initiative (GMI) is proud to announce that 3M has renewed its partnership, marking the third year of its collaboration to help under-resourced students.

“Since our partnership began in 2023, 3M has helped to expand GMI’s reach and impact across more than 100 countries.  Nearly 100 3M volunteers across 27 countries are making a difference with GMI through mentorship,” shares Jon Browning, GMI CEO. “3M’s impact has been especially prominent on the African continent, where nearly two-thirds of 3M-sponsored mentees reside.”

GMI’s tech-enabled career readiness online mentorship matches volunteer mentors with under-resourced students who are transitioning from post-secondary education to their first career role. The mentorship is designed to bridge the gap between graduation and first career opportunity for students from global communities.

“Partners like 3M are vital for the work that GMI does,” continues Jon. “Not only do they ensure GMI mentorships remain free for students, but they also help us connect to skilled volunteers who are empowering the global leaders of tomorrow. We are so thankful for 3Mers who have already joined the GMI mentor community and eager to welcome more as our partnership grows.”
