What to expect

During the workshop, you will join a small group of fellow GMI students and volunteer coaches. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Deliver a 60–90-second professional introduction
  • Receive direct, supportive feedback on what was clear and memorable
  • Identify specific ways to strengthen your introduction
  • Ask practical questions about careers, communication, networking, and the workplace
  • Learn from the experiences and feedback shared with other participants

GMI will facilitate each session, manage the breakout groups, and provide guidance throughout the workshop. You do not need to prepare a formal presentation.

Who can participate?

This opportunity is exclusively available to GMI program graduates.

To confirm your eligibility, GMI will validate your registration using the email address associated with your GMI student record. Please use that same email address when completing the form below. If your email address has changed, contact the GMI team so we can assist you.

Choose your sessions

Multiple virtual sessions will be offered for participants across different regions and time zones.

You may register for a maximum of three sessions in total across the Microsoft and Expedia Group events. Please select only sessions you are confident you can attend so that spaces remain available for other GMI students.

The organization named in each session title indicates whether you will be working with volunteers from Microsoft or Expedia Group. Participation is subject to eligibility, availability, and confirmation from GMI.

What happens after you register?

Once you submit the form below:

  1. GMI will review and validate your registration.
  2. If your place is confirmed, our team will send you the calendar invitation and joining information.
  3. You will receive a short preparation guide to help you develop your professional introduction.
  4. The GMI team will be available to answer questions and support you before the session.

These workshops are career-development opportunities, not job interviews or recruitment events. Their purpose is to help you practice, receive constructive feedback, and become more confident introducing yourself in professional settings.
