Eligibility & Requirements

  • Female Student from a Microsoft ADC partner university in Kenya
  • Student must be available for 12 months for the mentorship program
  • Commit to actively engage in 12 one-hour virtual sessions with your mentor
  • Proficient in either English or French
  • Access to a video capable PC with a stable internet, not just a smartphone
  • Less than three years working in a professional career environment
  • Education Status:
    • In the final 2 years of bachelor’s degree and not pursuing further education, or
    • In the final year of an associates or technical degree and not pursuing further education, or
    • Recently graduated and looking for your first career
  • Between the ages of 20 – 35 at time of application

One of the strategies of Women at Microsoft is to amplify and elevate the needs and experiences of women. In line with this, ADC envisions to launch ADC WINS in conjunction with the Women Mentoring Circle community to serve as a platform to inspire, educate, and empower female university students by providing them with the skills, knowledge, and mentorship required to excel in the tech industry.

This mentorship guides students to:

  • Establish a professional business network using LinkedIn
  • Improve communication skills for a global business environment
  • Create a career plan and set measurable goals
  • Build a resume/CV that gets noticed by job recruiters
  • Master the job interview process with confidence
  • Distinguish themselves in their first job”
